    I was wanting to get a sport bike to compliment my Bonneville T120 and I was waffling between the Thruxton FE, used Thruxton 1200RS and a Kawasaki Z900RS. Then Triumph posted pics of the Slippery Sam Tribute Trident on my FB and I took the bait! I called my dealer and he put me on the list with a deposit.
    Went in to the dealer yesterday to test ride a Trident 660 they have there. It was a fun, lightweight, spirited bike, lots of revs, agile, and solid! The Triumph rep was there, ridden in on his 2023 Thruxton RS and offered to let me take his for a ride as well. I think I've made the right choice, as much as I adore the Thruxton look, I'm a little too short for it. My bonneville is about as high as I'd like and I really thought the Trident at 31.7" height was going to be too tall but that seat is slender and allows me plenty of 1 up, 1 down stability.
    I enjoyed riding the Thruxton but honestly, it was too close to the feel of my Bonneville T120. I wanted something sporty as a different choice on those days I just want to fly. I love cruising on the T120, and it's comfy, powerful, low end grunt, great engine. The Trident will be a high strung fun fling! My Bonnie and My Sammy – Can't want to see them in my garage together and out on the road!

    Hi happy new bike day. I have the 660 tiger sport and it is a terrific addition to any garage.

    I also just purchased a 2025 Tribute Special Edition. Great looking bike but I would like to add some wind protection. I can't find any info on a touring screen for a 2025. The 2025 has a production installed flatscreen installed which it looks like would interfere with the 2024 Puig windscreen. I contacted PUIG and they said they haven't gotten any specs from Triumph yet so rich now I"m up S#$% creek without any wind protection. Any help out there would be appreciated.

    So I ended up canceling the order for this bike mid summer before delivery. After a test drive, and thought, I just didn’t think it would be the bike for me.
    I now have a Thruxton FE in my sights. I hope all that got one are enjoying it, it sure looks great!

    Thanks, I ended up getting the 2025 Thruxton FE. It's a bit too much bike for me and I'm thinking of selling it and looking for the original Triple Tribute Trident again. I should have just stuck with this order in the first place. Don't get me wrong, the Thruxton is an amazing bike, it's just a bit too tall for my short legs and a bit too powerful for confidence. It's also pretty uncomfortable for long rides... maybe a younger person would do better with this but this mid 50s guy... backache, wrist ache, numb butt!

    @FlyingAce71:
    We are born in the same year. ;) I love my Rocket and my BMW1250 RS. Nothing is comparable to the power of a "big" bike. But: It is your personal decision and you have to feal confident!:)

    @FlyingAce71, we've all (well I have anyway) been there with making a bike choice then "shifting "gears" so to speak and realizing a different choice would have been better.

    That’s a pity. I bought my TTR aged about 61, and for some unknown reason I found it really comfortable. Shame it’s not for you, as the FE is a gorgeous bike.
