Just Got Back From Germany

So, we just got back from a little jaunt to Germany (3 hour round trip from my house). Completely stuffed the car (BMW 320i estate) with all sorts of beer and wine. Total cost just over 160 Euros.
Germany is so much cheaper than here in the Netherlands which explains why when you go to these towns just across the border, a good majority of the cars parked at supermarkets and beer shops are Dutch, even petrol is much cheaper per liter.
When I first moved here in the days of the Guilder it was relatively cheap compared to the UK, so if you are visiting the Netherlands don't expect anything to be cheap.
