I was changing the battery on Friday when I dropped both a bolt for the battery and the anchor for the hex bolt that holds down the battery compartment cover into the fairing. Ugh! I'm not taking the fairing off just to retrieve them.
We’ve all done it! I have one of these grabbers for mishaps like this: https://www.amazon.com/ANRANK-Flexible-Grabber-Pickup-Spring/dp/B07PLVG1ZC/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1ZCJIZSQ2DZ5B&keywords=flexible+grabber+claw&qid=1681149900&sprefix=Grabber+flex,aps,167&sr=8-7 Welcome to the forum by the way
If you don't have a flexible magnetic tool or a claw operate one, then get your hoover out, and duck tape a length of 6/8mm flexible plastic pipe to the suction hose, this will grab the fastner and job done.
I have a suspicion that if I were to take the side fairing off stuff would fall out like a piñata at a childs birthday party.
