Just Bought A 2019 Speed Triple Rs

Hello everyone, new to the Forum. I recently purchased a 2019 Speed Triple RS. It was a great find as it was showroom condition with a few upgrades I would have done anyways. It had 450 km on it. So it still needs to be broken in.

Looking for advice on some mods to be done.

1) Exhaust - What is your favorite exhaust for the bike. I am looking at SC Project S1 and CRT but I think the CRT could be really loud. I think the S1 is too but not at bad. Don't get me wrong, I like loud. I've read and heard that they don't require any ECU remapping too.

2) Bar End mirrors - I am really interested in the Motogadget Mo.View Blade but I've read it leaves a big gap between the bar ends. Someone wrote you can get the bar ends for the Street Triple but not sure what year. I also love the Rizoma mirrors but it seems difficult to remove the internals of what the Speed Triple has in the handle bars. Something about gluing a bolt to extract it? Seems unnecessary.

3) Keyless Gas Cap - I'd love some suggestions here. I hate using my key to get gas.

4) Carbon Fiber pieces - I have ordered a couple of pieces from Motocomposites. Mixed reviews but we'll see.

5) Brake Resevoir - I liked the Triumph one on my old Speed Triple and may go with that, but any other ideas are welcome.

Thanks for the reply. I had a 2007 and absolutely loved it. Went to a 2010 Ducati Streetfighter and never felt right on it. Beautiful bike but not for me. They are beside each other in my garage now and my son says, did you just buy the same bike? It is amazing how comfortable I was again as soon as I rode the triple. It is just a much smoother engine and better riding position to me.

 

I actually don't the double arrows. How hard they make it to take out the baffles is insane too. But I do want the lower for looks and sound. I don't think it will change performance at all.

So the owner bought a BMW M4 and loved driving it so much he ignored the Speedy. I can understand as I bought a Mustang Dark Horse and didn't ride much this past Summer.

I ordered the SC Project S1 and takes about 6 weeks to get it.

 

I want some better pictures to post and already added a couple of carbon fiber pieces. That back fender was tricky as I didn't have the right tools, but had to let a lot of air out of the tire to get to one of the bolts. LOL

Now the exhaust is off. I'll just leave it off until the new one comes. Maybe I'll run it with no exhaust and make a video. ha ha.

 

Thanks so much for the tips. The few rides I've had the setup seemed perfect to me. And thanks for the quickshifter notes. It was tricky to even lower the shift pedal but once I saw how it was set up I got it where I like it. And I did notice the shifts from 4-5, 5-6 a bit clunky so I will try that. I've been using a clutch for so long it is automatic most shifts and i'm not racing.

 

Thanks again. That should be easy enough. Just to get used to not moving the throttle.

My biggest issue now it the TPMS sensor keeps going off after a few KM and shows 0 tire pressure. I guess the sensor battery is dead. Dealer wants over 500.00 Canadian to put new ones in. Ouch. I just want to turn the warning off.
I wonder if anyone figured out how to do that? I think I can figure out the service needed warning with Tune ECU, just have to find an android device.

 

So my bikes menu does not have an option to reset the service light. I wonder if there was a software update I am missing.
