    Hi,

Aiming to seek out some jeans and advice would be appreciated ...

This is what I wanted and need to know....I think!

1:What’s the heaviest denim vs leather I should go for.? (Or test result/standard)
    2:Fully lined Kevlar or similar
3:Waterproof (I realise not storm proof)
    4:Knee and hip protection.(minimum)
    5:poss stretch denim?

Looked on web for top 10 etc but the advice is bewildering.

Cost and style being least important.

So...could members give clues or views on the make/product suggestions and any other tips..please.

    Cheers,
    Martin

Got a pair of Oxford jeans free with a subscription to MCN a while back.
Cons: Cheap, thin, not much kevlar.
Pros: Cool in summer, pockets for hip and knee armour.

Had a pair of Draggin' jeans.
Pros: Very heavy, lots of kevlar.
Cons: Too hot in summer, no armour.

Best pair so far - Rev-it waterproof jeans.
Pros: Waterproof, heavy denim, lots of Kevlar, hip and knee armour. (best and least intrusive knee armour I've encountered).
    Cons: Bit warm this summer!

Got the same as Steve Lovatt, revit Memphis h2o, wore them to a meet up where it pissed down with rain for the 3 hour ride outs and only got a damp crotch on the last day. Still haven’t worked out where it came from!
Comfortable not too bulky and only £125 at sportsbikeshop

Do they feel like £250 is good value for money? Just curious as I've been tempted by these but the price just keeps making think twice.....

    Very happy with my

Researched much like you and concluded they offered the best price/performance match. Ultra Lightweight waterproofs and bingo.

For me, yes mate. They were very comfortable from the off, and my missus reckons that if you didn't know then they wouldn't look out of place as a normal pair.
They are fully lined, and you just need to adjust the armour to put it right for you but is very easy to do. They also gave me some discount when I asked so be a bit cheeky and they're not so expensive :)
Certainly worth a visit to try some on if you are anywhere close to a dealer.

    Hood jeans here.

Kevlar from waist down to the shins, hips and knees armour and the denim hasn’t got sewn joints all over the place waiting to burst on impact

I have a pair of dragging jeans black combat jeans, slightly warm in summer but totally Kevlar lined.
The wear rate is supposed to be better than leather so I can forgive the warmth.
