Hi everyone Newbie here I just bought this jacket and I’m Now worrying that it’s a fake. Can you all look at the label and tell me what you think? I’m thinking it is because there’s no Union Jack on the label. I’m not sure so any opinions will be gratefully received. D x
Hiya thanks for a lovely welcome. I appreciate your reply thank you. What about the made in Philippines on the label? X x x
Jacket looks fine. As long as it keeps you warm and dry I would not worry whether it is original or not....
Debs Welcome to the family. Looks a nice jacket. And yes most Triumph clothing is made abroad these days. What bike you riding. Jacket looks good and sturdy so just wear and enjoy. Regards Joe.
Debs What part of God's Island do you hail from. I originated from Bushmills. Centuries ago. Ride Safe Joe.
Welcome Debs. Where did you get the jacket as I can't find anything like it on the 'net. You need to be sure it is going to protect you. I bought a Triumph Beaufort leather jacket this year and these are the labels. It is made in Vietnam and is okay, has proper D3O armour, but it doesn't smell right. I guess it is the dye they use in the leather.
One other thought, have you got any other labels attached, like these? Sorry to be the only Doubting Thomas here so far but maybe something other than the union jack has made you question it? It seems a little odd to me to have those four patches of what looks like the material you get on the heel of a hand on a glove, sewn on the chest. It looks more cosmetic than offering protection and I'd say the style and quality doesn't really match anything else Triumph do at the moment. My jacket has a YKK zip and the Triumph logo stamped on the poppers. There is a Union Jack embosed on the sleeve and a little metal embosed badge as they like their branding stamped on their kit generally. Hope that helps but you want to be safe.
Hello and welcome to the forum Debs, I have 2 Triumph jackets bought from World of Triumph and both were made in Vietnam.

Well found DD. Here's another picture with a different label. The more I look at the ebay photos and your's Debs, the more I wouldn't wear it.
How much did you pay ? And where did it come from ? That eBay listing does look like a nock-off job to me .
Debs The jacket looks good to me. Depends what your are riding if you have a Bonneville or similar you perfect. If you are Daytona or similar get some good body Armour in there I think Knox still manufacture it. Regards Joe.
These are my two Triumph jackets, both bought from World of Triumph. No Union Jack here. (sorry flag, apparently it should only be called "Union Jack" when flown in the bows of a warship). Definitely one here though!
The triangular Triumph logo looks wrong to me, and companies are normally very particular about them. Not genuine doesn't necessarily mean it is unsafe though.
Got mine from Bevans Cardiff and have just replaced all the popper buttons as they never stayed shut all work perfect now. Got a kit on amazon £4
