Hey crew, seen some spy shots and as I'm in love with the 900 Scrambler after my test ride but being 6'2" making it look like it is 250cc, this would be my perfect bike!? If it is coming out, what s the usual release date, mid season?
I've been searching the internet but I can't find any reliable data. Hopefully someone here has a well polished crystal ball!
Just seen this on triumph site https://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/motorcycles/classic/bonneville-scrambler-1200

OOh that is really getting me excited, but also throwing me into total chaos as I was just about to sign up on for a PCP deal on ex demo street scrambler
Every time I visit the local dealers I see a bike that makes me think Ooh! Then I leave on my T120 Black and think yeah but this is grrreat too!
I had go on the T120 and it is sweet ride, mature bike and a fantastic weekend ride, butI find it a touch too heavy for everyday running around and a fair bit different riding experience to the scrambler. Also after getting into biking after so many years, it would be good to get into it on something more managable. I’ll try not to go mad on pimping the scrambler too much in case I really like the 1200 scrambler next year and need to trade in .)
We've been building our own versions of the T120 Scrambler at Woburn for best part of a year now. I do find them a bit heavy to be honest, but love the extra power of the 1200 engine over the 900, but then again I love the nimble agility of my 900 Street Twin. I'm sure the official 1200 Scramble will be a big hit. The last of our limited edition, 5 of 5.
Thats a lovely looking bike. I wonder what the t120 sound like with that pipe as on the 900 it is superb. Is the seat higher? I wonder what triumph will do with the frame of the new T120 scrambler. It will be heavier for sure but I hope Triumph will properly open the box of magic.
Sounds awesome. Deeper and growlier than on the 900 - I have one on my Street Twin. The seat is higher because we put Thruxton Ohlins on. But they can be cut down, which mine have been on my Street Twin.
At 6’2” I would not want to make it lower, I need to go the other way I love the scrambler, it just feels like one size down from my perfect bike. Trying to figure out if fitting the t120 tank and higher suspension would do the trick.
