Hi just joined the forum having picked up a 2019 XRT 1200 yesterday. I'm based in Nottinghamshire so close to many good ride-outs & bike dealers. Travelled around Europe a few times and hopefully planning for Europe opening up to us again next year! Belong to a couple of bike groups based locally. Looking forward to picking up info around bike mods which I'm sure have been covered many times. cheers Andy.
Welcome and good luck finding a local group. Triumph dealers run some events but think there are many more independent Triumph owner clubs about. Sadly you live way to far from me for a convivial run out but hope you find some friendly locals soon.
hi all, thanks for the welcome better get straight to it while I'm logged on! so collected the bike yesterday (2019 1200 XRT) discussed with the supplying Triumph dealer adding on some extras - it became obvious that they didn't want the work (or just didn't have the knowledge to do what I'd asked for) had a great ride home thinking about doing the work myself bare with me - I'm sure these topics will have been discussed many times:- I have my trusty 56L Givi topbox with the Admore Lighting led kit - is it possible to add this to the rear light wiring (3 wires - brakelight, tail-light & earth)? if so which cables do I need to splice in to? the main one - I want to have my GPS hardwired and mounted above the TFT screen - after looking at the forum I've purchased the evotech mount and a Rowe Electronics amplink (updated PDM60) to provide the power to the GPS and other accessories - I have the Garmin wiring loom for the Zumo 595 - which is the best/easiest way to route the loom (and the most convenient mount point for the amplink considering I'll want easy access to add-in other accessories at some point) which panels will I need to remove etc, most importantly - the most suitable circuit to power up the amplink ie ignition on or engine running? planning a sort trip to Scotland next week so I'd like to get straight to the work. hope you can help or point me out to someone who may have right info. cheers, Andy.
