DougieD has very kindly agreed to arrange production of a T-Shirt to mark our forum's first international trip. The design is the same as this years Scottish Trip t-shirt, just replacing the words "Scottish" with the words "German". Here is a picture of the Scottish one:- Not the best picture but you get the idea. With setup costs around £75 and 3 colours prices are going to be around £15 each if we buy 10. But, your grandchildren will be able to frame them, put them on the wall and tell there families and friends "Yes folks, when men were men and still rode motorbikes, my grandad was there when the Triumph Forum rode down the Moselle Valley". So what do you all think ? Is it a go or a no go ?
I've been trying to get a hold of the printer to confirm prices, but i think he may be on holiday, (he's a one man band ) but in the past the the set up costs are.. 1. for making up the print screen.... £25.00 2. For having 3 colours on the design @ £25.00 per colour....£75.00 3. T- Shirt cost plus printing cost per T-Shirt.... £ 6.00 on that basis the price per t-shirt would be for example for 6 T -Shirts = (£100.00 divided by 6 plus £6.00) = £22.66 per T- Shirt for 12 T -Shirts = (£100.00 divided by 12 plus £6.00) = £14.33 per T- Shirt plus you would have to add postage which would add £2.95 to the T-Shirt..unless i posted them all out to the one address then it work out cheaper If you want to go ahead i would probably need to know for definite about a month before you go
In view of the costs involved for the low number of t-shirts wanted I'm guessing this will be a non starter ?
yeah i wasn't sure how many you would want, but it does work out expensive if theres a small amount.. unless you get a design with just the one colour like the one we used for the wales GMU,that would bring the price down, it might be better just going for a pin/embroidered badge like smilinjack suggested?
I’ve just looked on the internet at getting a polo shirt embroidered with the words on the left side. The Triumph Forum 1st International Tour Germany 2018 The design has to be in this format to fit in the space available A pique polo shirt in blue with the above words I think would work out about £10 using a local company. I’ve sent them an email asking if I can go to their premises and I’ll order one. Watch this space if interested.
Yes It would be a shame not to have something to commemorate the trip Steve. I’ve had a reply from the supplier and it works out a little bit dearer, some costs I couldn’t see on their website. Minimum order is 6. Embroidery set up is £16 +vat Embroidery of Polo Shirt is £3.60 per shirt Fruit of the Loom Pique Polo Shirts are £6.50 + vat Works out @ £15.32 each if my sums are correct.
