    Hi all,

I'm having an intermittent fault on my 2019 Scrambler 1200 XE:

    • Throttle becomes unresponsive

    • ABS/TC get disabled

    • MIL briefly flashes, then everything works again after restart or throttle reset

    • DTCs seen: P2138, P16A2, P056C, and once P1574

    • Bike runs fine most of the time, then randomly fails after washing, cold start, or short stops in the sun
    Bike info:

    • New battery, Quadlock USB charger wired to battery

    • A2 limiter kit (electronic throttle limiter + intake restrictor ring) still installed

    • Left switchgear was opened to fix heated grips (noticed burnt plastic smell)
Theory from dealer: IMU issue or electrical instability

I'm looking for similar cases, wiring/grounding issues, A2 module interference, or IMU advice.

    Thanks in advance!

I recently discovered that the USB and keyless antenna wires were routed directly over the IMU, likely after a previous battery access. I’ve now repositioned them through the correct channels in the battery cover. Since then, after two days of testing (even with water and rain mode), no more errors or throttle issues. It looks like cable interference near the IMU may have been the root cause all along. I’ll continue testing over the next several days to confirm.
