hi all I'm new to the forum I've just bought a lovely thruxton 900 and I've changed a few bits and bobs on it but ive changed the stock indicators for some smaller led ones (and changed the relay ) but now it will only flash all 4 lamps no matter what side is turned on i have disconnected all the indicators and all 4 feeds still become live no matter which side is switched on dose and have any ideas or come across this before ?
LittleDave. Welcome to the Family. You know we will want a picture of the steed. I would hazard a guess that the led converter is faulty or you have a short there somewhere. Ride Safe Joe.
hi joe ive tried two relays and the original and i have the same problem ive checked the wiring that i have done and can't see any problems its starting to really do my head in
Welcome buddy As Joe MC above said is what I initially thought..... You might need to put on a LED flasher and install diods on the indicator. It could be back feeding through the indicator causing all of them to flash.
What r_1000 said ( I guess) https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycle...ed_turn_signals_flashing_at_same_time_how_do/
LittleDave If I were you I would put the oem indicators back on. When you have a little cash get triumph to fit you a set. Cracking machine by the way. Ride Safe Joe
Good morning and welcome in. Ride safe and let us know when you get your problem sorted out. We would like to know what it was.
well !!! problem solved it turns out that led indicators don't have enough resistance in circuit to stop the flow of power through the telltale lamp on the idiot lights thus flashing all 4 lamps so one side of the idiot light cut and all is well. so i just need to put more resistance in circuit and then re connect the light
