    hi all,
    my 1998 885i has a shot ignition barrel. does anyone have a link to the wiring diagram for the barrel, as im looking to bypass it somehow. or possibly fit a cheap patent part if anyone has a recommendation?

    ah, great ! any chance you could post up a pic. i just need a close up of the ignition switch wiring diagram showing the colours.

    What is the best way to do this. There are several pages. WhatsApp ?
    Simply put, there are 2 leads to the ign switch.
    Brown - to the main power relay
    Green to the engine kill switch and green/brown onward from that to fuse 5

    strange! heres a pic of my ignition with 7 wires. i just need to know what colours go where.
    the white wire (main feed i believe) was off, so resoldered back on
    tiger inition.jpg


    this what im looking for, just need confirmation of the tiger colours..

    In the manual there is a complete circuit diagram and also separated out diagrams for lighting, charging etc.
    How do I send these images ?
    My experience of this ended when photobucket collapsed !

    @Flay Assuming you’ve a smart phone - photograph the relevant parts of the wiring diagram, then open the forum on your phone and copy/paste the photos in to a ‘post reply’
