Just cleaning around the garage and found this on the floor under the engine of my America.
Does anybody recognise it ? Is it important? Can't see anywhere it looks to go back on. It is hollow inside, about 1/4" bore.

thought it was part of an ai removal kit but looks a tad too big or a cap to go over the thread of a protruding bolt as in scaffolding etc, but looks a tad too small. So all we need is mummy bear

That looks like a vacuum take-off blanking plug. Have a look around the carbs area and see if there are any spigots left open.

That's what I thought, but can't see any. Where abouts on the 'carbs' are the take off's?

Thanks for that crispey, i was just in the garage looking , spotted that and was coming on here to find an installation guide !!!! LoL, you beat me to it. But unfortunately, or not, that little one is still in place, so not the answer. Maybe nothing to do with the bike and just from somewhere else.

Just worries you when you see a piece lying about spare !!!

From memory there are 3 vacuum spigots on this engine so maybe a bit more searching is in order?

NAH! You just lightened the load you need to push by a good 15 lbs.!
I do think the OP's part is from one of the carb's vacuum ports. For hooking up syncing gauges??

Decided it's not off of the bike, too big for a vacuum pipe block off thingy. Looked through parts fiche on Triumph World and anything that looks like it, are way smaller and all three of them are in place.

Thanks for the input, even the daft stuff, made me smile
