I'm right there with you. I love my Speed triple but I'm itching to get my R1 back together. When I bought it I said the same exact thing, I don't need to get another sport bike but if I could go back in time and do it all over again, I'd have 19' R1 or RSV4.
I have a very, very strong itch to trade the RS in and pick up a new R1 but i'm going to wait till I finish rebuilding my R1 before making that leap.

Beautiful bike though, that crossplane is like a drug.

    Love it. Fantastic bike.

It must be something about the lock down mate. Im itching for it to end so that I can get another sportsbike. I doubt it will go far but will be nice to have as a choice.
Torn between saving some money and going for 959 Panigale but the V2 keeps calling me!

So this or one below are current thoughts

I totally get it. I love riding my speed twin but there’s nothing like the feeling of a Sportsbike on full chat hence why I’ve still got a Gsxr in the garage. Can’t seem to live without one!!

I would go for whatever you can afford but if money no option I reckon the v2 is the boy ;) !

Yeah Dream machine came up with the design. It’s a nod to the 1985 gsxr750 and rg500 .

Love sports bikes but for me the 90's rule! Can't quite fall for modern stuff in the same way, some of them (but not all) look a bit angular to me. I guess I prefer curves to edges. GSXR's of the 80's&90's, FZR's, ZXR's and the 90's FireBlades were gorgeous in my eyes. Even into the early 2000's, with the Ducatis (yes, the 916 is still one of the best lookers, ever), MVAugusta's, and more. I love my Triumph but my two Hondas (RVF NC35 & CBR NC29) have the edge.
Also, I'd like to know when modern sportsbike manufacturers decided all potential customers had at least a 36" inside leg measurement. I want both feet on the ground at a standstill, not tippy-toes on one foot!

Had the same thoughts but must be getting old as can ride any of the others just as fast on the road :(

    Cheers for that

Some great deals on the 2020 GSX1000R Trippy. Reduced and 4 years 0% credit. Lots of great reviews on Youtube. Whats your thoughts?

For the price I think the V2 may be my choice on looks alone but cant ride until the lock in is over. Luckily local dealer does both brands

Then again I also love the K5 Suzi (arguably the best). Decisions decisions

I’ve used to own the K6 and now have the new Gsxr1000 and whilst I loved the k5/k6, it was a great bike the new one is in a different league ( once you upgrade the master cylinder!). My mate has the K5 and the way the new one pulls away from it is impressive. The VVT is deceptively quick !!
