Tom Sykes seems quite happy with the BMW and it seems to be improving all the time he was 14th in the Jerez testing..Jonathan Rae is still the man to beat

The stand out disappointment in that chart is Chaz Davies in 11th seemingly not getting up to lead pace as quick as Rea et al. It’s quite a shame that Honda aren’t, it seems, taking WSB seriously anymore. It’s all very well giving the Fireblade a “warm over upgrade” but if the original package wasn’t on the pace how can they be expected to compete for wins with a bike so out of date? It’s true that Kawasaki have only updated their bike too but that is a proven package that didn’t need too much changing to keep it on top. Honda have put all their resources into MotoGP in the last few years and damn successful they have been, the RCV roadbike should have been homologated for WSB use, it’s only what Ducati have just done with the V4 Panigale though at much less cost to those lucky customers.
