We all know that everything - especially fashion, even if unintentionally - has been done before. Anybody know who this cool looking dude is? At the time he was a poet and sometime bank robber, but he's not known for either of those things.
I thought you might know Dougie! Bit if a clue then - he's infamous rather than famous but he's as well known as Adolf Hitler!
Ah, the Diaries student bedsits poster boy. The eyes give it away if I am not wrong. Not that I go in for man-crushes, but with all that charisma he could have been a film star if he'd taken a different route on his Norton.
Yeah, in the Motorcycle Diaries they were on a pre-War (don't mention the War) 500cc Norton, so a big one for the early 50's. My Dad and uncles rode big Nortons pre and post-War, but as far as I know they weren't revolutionaries.
Okay, try again, but looks so familiar. Is the assumption he's a well-known motorcyclist correct, because it's a m/bike forum, or is that red-herring?
I did think Stalin and asked Auntie Google, but 60's demise threw me. I knew I'd seen those eyes before. #1 daughter did her dissertation on Stalin-era Soviet iconoclasm, which I did a fair bit of wordsmithing and editing on, so may even have seen that same image. Give the old b@$$t@rd tyrant his due, he was a handsome geezer as a young lad. Less so in his Wild One years hanging out with Brando.
