Featured Rideout High Speed Shopping Tour

Today at 0700 we started our tour to Passau in Germany. My wife and I took our bikes and started a short part of our tour over an Austrian highway. After 30 kilometres we went on on a curvy B-road for the next 30 kilometres. They road runs through wonderful valleys and led us to the next highway. From there we had to cross our complete province and most of the neighbouring. At the border to Germany we were in luck with the traffic situation. So we were able to test our bikes top speeds legally on a German highway. In this area there is no speed limit! I was following my wife with her Yamaha XSR and checked the speed on my additionally used navigation system. She went up to 220 km/h.
Afterwards I "squeezed" my BMW R1250RS up to 235 km/h. The speedometer of my BMW "displayed" more than 240 km/h. But I trust the GPS based measurement of my navi.
After this speeding we arrived in the city of Passau. There we had some snacks and did a shopping tour in a local bike equipment store. We really enjoyed our time there and went home with some new equipment.
Naturally we did we some pit stops with our bikes today. Due to the fuel prices we refilled our bikes in Austria two times. As always we enjoyed some local sweets to our coffees.
In sum we did 635 km and the total riding time was about 5 hours.
