    Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience of fitting uprated HID headlights.
There are host of kits available at very different prices. Money is not an issue however I would like a quality set up at a decent price.
    Regards Paul

Are you talking about an actual HID headlight, or fitting an HID bulb in your existing headlight?

A proper HID conversion with ballasts, bulbs and wiring etc. Not just a bulb. Cheers Paul

Hi Paul so essentially you will be putting an HID bulb set-up into the std headlight bowl and reflector?

IF that's the case then you might be interested to know that: A.it's illegal; B. the reflector/lens is not formulated for an HID bulb so light will splash about and blind on-coming riders/drivers.

Thanks I did not know that. Are you aware of any lamp upgrade is possible.
I'm using the bike to commute down unlit back roads and its ok now but I would like some more light for later in the year.

If what you want is to improve the light and quality level there are loads of cheap mods and changes that can be done within the regs.

    1. Change the H4 bulb for something from Philips or Osram such as these :
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f....TRS0&_nkw=philips+x-treme+vision+h4&_sacat=0

    2. Change the wiring which supplies juice to the headlight bulb. This reduces voltage loss to the bulb hence more light.
Do a search on Google or Youtube.

Excellent Paul, glad you're happy with them.

Can't get over that puppy - reminds me of ours when they were young.
