Hi Everyone. I have had a 17 plate Cup (black/silver) from new. I use it to commute and weekend ride outs. I love the bike but I am frustrated by a few design/engineering problems that I find irritating - for example there doesn't seem to be enough room for the wiring!? Apart from that I love the style of my bike, I love the power delivery, I love the sound and I can reach the ground which at 5ft 4ins is a bonus! So hello, and if anyone has solved the wiring problem please let me know!!!

Welcome. Thanks for posting a picture of your great bike.

Regarding the wiring, could you let us know about the problem? What are you trying to do with the electrical system?

I could fit a whole microprocessor, relays and switches system in cavities around the bike so not sure what is the problem.

More info including photos of everything and dimensions would help. Do you need help with power, voltages and switching?

Welcome to the family. Great intro and fantastic picture. You will get top points here in the asylum as the inmates like pictures. Great bike also.

Thank you for your reply, Cyborgbot, I'm not trying to add any wiring it's the existing factory loom is rubbing on the handlebars after 6000 miles, this is my second loom, so I wondered if anyone had had similar probs. with their Street Twins. Thank you for your interest but I am not trying to fit anything else in there atm. I fitted a Scotoiler but thats not causing any issues.

I have no idea why that should be chaffing like that, but it looks positively dangerous to me.
There has to be a rough surface somewhere to cause that friction based damage, surely?
Perhaps running a finger all around the area might reveal where some gentle filing is required?
Is it possible to sheath the loom with something, thick inner tube or rigid nylon of some tubular type?
That needs attention of some kind, for sure.
    Just my initial thoughts

The wiring is not in the indent which was designed for it to sit in, it is tight as, I'm talking with my Triumph dealer and I'll post the outcome .... meanwhile I'm going to work in the car !!! ( which isn't so bad in 2degrees!)
