HI all, I just joined - only today found out the forum exists. I have a 2001 Bonnie, since 2004 when I got it with only 3000 on the clock. It's had an easy life and still only has 12,000 clocked up. Most of those done with the restrictor still in place, I didn't know it was there. Chris Foxley was giving her a full service including cleaning out the carbs and he rang me to ask if I needed the restrictor. We'd been talking about my years of biking so he was pretty certain I didn't need it. It now resides in my toolbox and the Bonnie has benefited from about 11,000 miles of running in. I am hoping to exchange it for a Speedmaster in a couple of weeks, I need the lower seat height since I became disabled. I retired from doing the Dragon Rally a few years ago (on their 50th) up till then I had done 25 of them. My other interests are sailing, canoeing, photography, writing and last but not least my Border Collie, Skipper. We live in Anstey, just outside Leicester on the A46. If there is anyone local, I'd be pleased to meet them.
Welcome canoesailor. Remember, everyone here likes piccies; let’s see your Bonnie before she goes and the Speedmaster when she arrives
The Bonnie on a Dragon Rally with my mates BMW. I'll miss her when she's gone but it's no good if I cant ride her.
CanoeSailor Welcome to the family. Nice bike. Do keep us up on the trade if you go for the speedmaster. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
