Been a fire blade man for many years but it's time for a change , going to dealers next week to test ride a speed triple Good idea ?
Yes. Really now just a question of colour. Post some pics here when you've bought it. And welcome to the asylum Bladerr.
Is the r version really £2k more of a bike ? I was meant to be picking a mint s version bike up tomorrow but got a call today to say sorry but I've sold it even though the guy had promised it to me on Saturday Oh well !! Onwards and upwards
Shame Bladerr. Don't give up, you'll find the right one for you. Check out the Speed section here for owners' views.
Borrowed a Speed Triple R on Thurs from Pure Triumph at Woburn. Absolutely loved it for the first 30 mins, but it is hard as nails and shook me to bits once we went on poorly maintained country lanes.
Hi Bladerr welcome to the forum, speed triples are great fun, some folk find the suspension a bit on the hard side, i think it depends on how heavy you are,I'm 16.5-17st and i find it great
I have the new R and love it, have softened the suspension a bit, still firm but not so spine jolting. The S is supposed to have more compliant suspension but I loved the grey coloursceheme
Hi Bladerr, welcome in. How did the test ride go or was that the bike that's been sold from under you ? They are two very different machines that's fact ! I'm sure after a decent test drive you will know. The torque on the triple mills is addictive and if it's a change you're after you will be pleasantly surprised! Good luck with the hunt !
