Like wise Screwball welcome e and I am v envious of the Dark R!! Which DRZ do you have? I have a 2000 drz s was telling Rich how good they are for green laning... What's your view ??
I have a 2003 S I think... Just got it and yes I think it is great... Got a bargain from a guy at work... 2700 miles enduro wheels and excel rims with road tyres £900........ I couldn't get the deposit out of my pocket fast enough...... It's a bit battered and has a big dent in the tank, but I have got a 2nd hand tank and complete panels are circa £100 on Fleebay.... So happy with it... Been greenlaning with a few mates and it is very capable... A bit heavier than some others but I'm a big lad......
Nice one, you could of sold it straight away for three times that amount.... Yeah I got mine about October, great fun mate, it was a kind of suck it n see purchase to see if I like green laning... And yes love it... Even days like today (snowing its head off) are a riot on it!! Fleebay is your friend regarding the drz... So many parts for pennies, which is a bonus when green laning.. I'm just having a clear out of my stuff and gonna move it on eBay, keihin 39mm FCR carb, full set of black plastics n tank, FMF exhaust, air box, box to carb boot, jet kit, bash plate... God I have too many bits... Thinking as I now know I like it, may consider the CRF250x next year, half the weight but great bit of kit....
