Hello everyone, Originally from Newcastle, now living in the Netherlands. My 1985 GPZ 900 was getting a bit long in the tooth so I recently bought a 2006 Daytona 955i to replace it. What a lovely machine. Don't know much about Triumph motorcycles and new fangled stuff like electronic engine management so thought I'd join up and learn from those who do. Lets see if I can the hang of making a post first.... Cheers, Joe
Nice one, Jay! Welcome. Had a Daytona 955i Centennial myself a while back but had to sell it when I had health problems. Lovely bike, and I still miss it, though I do know it went to a good home. You will learn lots on here, including how to speak fluent Gibberish!
Hello Joe and welcome in the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be round with your meds very soon. Daytona 955i eh ? That engine is a peach. Had one in my 2006 Tiger 955i (different tune tho') and was very impressed with it.
welcome in and nice choice of bike any pics of both inc the gpz always fancied one of those, can't justify running 2 bikes at moment though.
Hi Chuk. here is a pic of the Daytona in the dealers. I don't have any others at the mo.The only decent pics of the gpz are prints. I'll see if I can find and scan. Got somedigital pics on the garage on blocks before I traded it in. I'll see if can find them but don't do the bike justice.
GPZ 9 needing new forks. My first and only new bike was a lovely black and gold GPZ 900 rocket ship. realised I had to have one after crashing my Z650 on Stanhope Moor chasing my mate on his A1 GPZ.....Got away with a broken wrist
decent colour makes a nice change from the usual red black combo,Daytona a cracker very nice would love a gpz project if funds were better.
