I have recently bought a Triumph Bonneville America because I have always dreamed about owning one. If anyone can advise me on storage for my helmets I would be abliged as the wife does'nt like carrying hers about.

Hi and welcome to the forum and congrats on your new bike. Top-boxes can store two full faced helmets but in my opinion spoil the looks of any bike. You could be a gentleman and offer to carry your wife's helmet???
There are these for when you are out and about; just lock them to your bike. Pacsafe "LidSafe" Secure Waterproof Helmet Bag - NEW! | eBay

Yes, welcome and a good choice of bike

Although top boxes don't look cool they are SO useful! A place to keep your lock, waterproofs, a few tools, sarnies and sundry bits when you go away. I'm happy to sacrifice the look for the usefulness (after all I'm not looking at the bike while I'm riding  )

My top box isn't big enough for 2 helmets but a D-lock through the "aperture" on a full face helmet and attached to the front wheel keeps the helmet safe and is a theft deterrent.

Hi & welcome to the forum mate. You can buy after market helmet locks that you can bolt to your bike.
Failing that if you have a full face lid you can run a coated chain round the chin section & padlock it to the bike, if its an open face then still using a coated chain, thread the U shaped part of the padlock through the D rings on the helmet fastening strap.
