    Hi All.

New to the forum, having recently bought a '14 Street Triple R 675. My first Triumph, however I’m a long term fan as my family have always had classic triumphs.

Last time I was out, my gear change bobbin came lose, and disappeared somewhere in the Peak District. Managed to get home thanks to a bit of stick and a rubber band I found in the road.

I am trying to find the part, however my local triumph dealer tells me they do not sell the item separately, only as part of a gear lever assembly. I am only looking for the little bobbin which you catch with your toe when changing gear. It appears to bolt onto the main gear lever arm. I have attached a picture of the item I’m after. I tend to believe the dealer as the parts catalogue does not identify the specific part separately. Just seems a bit mad that I might have to spend £70 for a new gear lever for the sake of a little part. Does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of one? Or where I could have one made up? Is there an alternative P/N which may fit?

    Thanks in advance.
    Tom

Bolt, pipe or conduit spacer cut to length. Wrap with rubber tape. Until you find one. Or order the whole assembly and keep the lever part for spares in case you bend the lever or becomes loose on the shaft.

Yeah thanks, starting to think getting one made up might be the easier option. It would be dead easy to knock up on a lathe.

So I've managed to identify the specific P/Ns i require.

Turns out, the bike has the OEM adjustable CNC machined rearsets fitted, which I didn't realise also come with a different gear lever to standard, which feature an adjustable gearshift bobbin.

    The P/Ns i require are:

A9770085 Rubber, Toe Peg, Rear Set
A9770084 Pin, Toe Peg, Rear Set
A9770083 Mount, Toe Peg, Rear Set
    T3050333 Screw, Cap/Hd, M6 x 25, Slv

From looking in the usual places, it seems all of these parts are obsolete and can't be bought anymore. Does anybody know of some obscure specialist Triumph stockist anywhere which might stock these items?

Welcome to the family. If I were you I would drop an ad on the 675 forum I will check aswel if Bulldog has changed my lever after being knocked of and if it has the bit I will drop you a line. But if memory serves me right it was snapped of.

Hi Sgtcalle and welcome to the forum, I will have a look around my garage this weekend, I recall making a gear change bobbin out of alloy on the lathe with a thread to bolt it on, it was for a Triumph Street Triple 675R, if I can locate it you can have it FOC

Might be worth checking with fowlers or Jack Lilley (Linds)

I had offered Sgtcalle one for free and I would have posted it at my own cost to help him out, however he never got back to me, strange to ask for help then no response.
