Hi, I have just acquired a 1997 Thunderbird 900, which I am very pleased with. It hasn’t been used much and needs some fettling to get it road ready. The battery is shot and it has a rather oodd immobiliser fob with a visible battery. I wondered if I might be best to remove the immobiliser as I have a sturdy chain. Any thoughts would be very welcome. Many thanks, Malcolm
Greetings from Lincolnshire. You've got a cracking bike there. Had mine 29 years now, best bike I've ever had. Post a picture or two, including that fob. Maybe you could post it in the technical help section of the forum. Bristol is bad for bike thefts, maybe a shotgun ( if only ).
@Malcolm-1 Welcome to the family. Yes do hit the upload a file button bottom right and show the inmates the new bike. Joe
Thanks for all the welcomes and the advice to upload a pic of the immobiliser fob. I don’t think it’s quite all there. Probably like me, but here is a pic of both sides. Any advice welcome. Will upload some pics of the bike too when I get into the garage. Cheers, Malcolm
