    Hey ho all,

So, I have been watching/reading the forum for some time now…ever since the devilish idea of buying a new bike gnawed away at the back of my mind last year.

Like an evil temptress the initial idea was simply a lip curling dream, simply unjustifiable.

I should have known it wouldn’t be long before my partner found out about my temptations and banned me from visiting the forum and auto-trader altogether, knowing my penchant for buying shiny things. Of course, I simply found myself using the bathroom an awful lot more often.

I have always wanted a Triumph Speed Triple and the idea of having one in the garage was becoming an irresistible temptation. The new release of the RS model was a massive temptation and considered trading upwards for a new speed triple.

After a long... long conversation with the better half I managed to convince her that this was feasible and booked a test ride. What a brilliant machine, absolutely beautiful. A discussion of cost with the dealer and I found myself being dragged out the showroom by my collar.

The cost of such a beautiful machine was just too high, but I remained undeterred. After an expensive meal out my partner made a suggestion, albeit fuelled by some underhanded persuading…Why do I not by an older version for a fraction of the cost; on two conditions, firstly it must have enough room for her to come out on the back and two…I must sell my current bike.

    HUZZAH!

Many months of searching, planning, bookmarking of accessories etc…I found one. Here she is for you all to mock openly.

Rest assured…the seat cowl remains, the pillion pegs aren’t attached and my first love is still in my possession…for now…

So after all this, I am begging you…please let me in the club, when she inevitably leaves me I need some place I can drown my sorrows.

I haven’t managed to do much with her as yet. I did remove nine miles of electrical loom installed for a phone charger, utter mess of an installation. Changed battery optimiser cable to SAE from TM71. I have also removed the “Scottoiler”, a device I absolutely despise and the chain has clearly suffered for it but planning on a new chain later on.

Look forward to the continual reading your posts and who knows…may even submit a post or two of my own .

    Kindest regards

Welcome aboard krAzY EyEs, hope you've enjoyed what you've seen of the forum so far, far be it for us to mock another mans ride but on a personal preference I'd have to lose the twin cans and replace with a lowboy Arrow or similar, but as I say, that's a personal choice, what is your "first love" out of interest :p

Hi and welcome. Great looking bike. I like the twin cans, really fit the design of the bike I think.

    Welcome.

Ignore any opinions you hear on here.

You could ask five of us what we thought on a subject and get 8 different opinions...

PS: And that is with a simple yes/no question - a deep intellectually challenging question (anything to do with bikes) gets complicated and contradictory...

    Hi Dave,
I'm sorry but I have to agree with Vulpes, I love the twin can set up!
I have attached a picture of the other love in my life for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words of welcome!
