I've owned motorcycles for 50 years and currently have a 1985 Harley FLTC, 2004 Ducati Multistrada, 2008 Kawasaki KLR650 and the majority of a 1942 Harley WLA. I recently bought my first Triumph a 1965 TR6SR. I'm looking forward to what I can learn from the Vintage Forum and see what others are doing. The Triumph runs well and is fun to ride, but has some minor issues I plan to correct. Most are cosmetic such as the Thunderbird emblem on the left side cover that the former owner thought would look good, some rough looking hardware and some previous owners wiring that looks questionable. I'm not interested in restoring the bike, but would like to correct some things to have a clean, nice looking vintage machine to ride as you don't see them around here often.
The south east corner of Wisconsin. Kenosha to be more precise. Former home of Nash, Rambler, and AMC. We're on the shore of Lake Michigan and just north of the Wisconsin/Illinois border.
Ah - slightly better known over here than pre-Mr Rittenhouse, that's for sure! How's the riding out there?
