Hi there, Just checking back into the wonderful world of triumph ownership. I'm glad to be here and will bring a lot to the table. I just got me a newish Triumph but first, please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Al and I am a little bit mad, The last time I had a Triumph was 2008, loved it but I sold it after getting arrested in France twice in the same year on the bike, once really was my fault, going thru a red light to keep up with my mates as I had stopped to adjust luggage and had the only sat nav. The other was bent officials wanting a bit of vino money and was totally trumped up. That became a difficult situation rather quickly as I don't tolerate bent French cops hence the arrest. (I was released after a few hours) That bike was a Lucifer orange Sprint RS 955 and was then 6 years old and just run in. It was also one of the best bikes I have ever owned. I tour Europe every year on bikes with some very good mates and have just sold my big heavy and very competent 3 year old Varadero thou as I wanted a total change. Now, for something completely different I heard the voices in my head saying........ Looked at all of the range, discounted the bigger bikes Don't see myself as a sportsbike rider now and I have done big touring bikes for years. I was in fact the BM riders club national event co-ordinator and have owned lardy RT's and Gs's So I bought an America...........2012 MY and under a thousand miles on the clock. Not so much as a spec of dust on her. I will be in touch Al.
Hi Al & welcome to the forum View attachment 2161 . Nice introduction & welcome to the Triumph cruiser fraternity. Make sure you post up some pictures of your new cruiser & make as much trouble as you can on here, it seems to work well for some of us View attachment 2162
Thanks folks, I don't use facebook these days but will take a look anyway if I can without signing up. Yer, a fellow cruiser, are we many in number? Al
We are but a few.... The majority on here are the leather clad, power ranger looking, homosexual, Speed Triple riders but we tolerate them & forgive them for their sins View attachment 2164
I'll ignore Pig's comment and say welcome to the forum. Good luck with the new bike and hope you post some pictures of the bike.
Hi Al, nice intro. Harrogate is a bit of a base to myself, being brought up in Thirsk and my sister living in Scotton. Beautiful part of the world. Shame you opted for the the gay (cruiser) side of biking but I'm sure you'll man-up and get an SIII when you're got bored of life in the slow lane.
Thanks men, Richard, I will indeed post some pics, I shall have a go next in fact. Bry, I will give it at least a year before deciding if being mistaken for Liberace every time I ride is a good thing or a bad thing. Who knows, I may find celebrity status amongst the good people of this shire for being the prettiest boy on the shiniest motorcycle who also knocks out a fair tune on the old keys. See here for evidence of this:wink: (be warned, I did say I was a little mad and I wasn't kiddin) Al's christmas cheer 2012 featuring a comedy wig, some sprouts and some spanish eyes - YouTube
You. Sir, are a complete twat, a fucking retard, not plumbed in properly and, I think, wired directly to the moon! Welcome to the club, fucknuts! x
A most astute observation sir, and I thank you for so freely sharing it amongst the fine assembly of folks hereabouts. Al
