Myself Dhanush, from India : Proud owner of the Street Triple RS.

I own the bike for roughly 15 days now and its been great and the feeling is something that cannot be described in words.

    However,
I just needed some technically information ,
I have faced this issue of starting the bike up and the engine does not even crank[Sometimes] , it happened on the first day of owning the bike after refueling post delivery. Initially I assumed it to be an air lock due to filling up the fuel to the top and hence jump started the vehicle. But the issue persisted so I rode it until I drained a little fuel.

The next day again I faced the same issue in the middle of the road when I had stopped for a short break, I had informed to the service team and reached the service center thankfully the engine cranked after 20 minutes break.
The service team were able to reproduce the issue again but only once. The technician took it for quick spin and told its fine just continue using , it should have been the air lock.

I rode the bike for a 2 days without any concern but then again in the middle of my bike ride I had stopped the vehicle in Traffic due to long RED stop , and vehicle repeated the same issue and now it definitely wasn't the air lock cause I had used the vehicle well. So contacted the service team and they obliged to pick it for service.

The team worked the whole day and identified that there was loose connection and fixed it. They also updated the firmware and the bike was smooth for another 5 days.

Now due to rains in my region I did not turn on the bike for a day yesterday, and today I faced the same issue.
I do hear the Priming sound on the turning on the kill switch but when I try to start the vehicle , it does'nt even crank, it did not start for a while on multiple attempts.

Did speak to the service manager , he advised to wait for a while could be the cold terminals.

It started after a 30 minutes. And after that I have started the bike a few times it has not issues.

Now just want to understand is this an issue / concern?

    Thanks & Regards.

Hi and welcome, I also don’t think the bike is right. I would get it back to the dealer and ask them to get it sorted.

@Dhanush B That seems to be a big problem. If it were my bike it would be going back for replacement or a correct cure. Just seems your dealer is fobbing you of. Is it a Triumph dealer.

1, bikes don't get an airlock after filling with fuel.
2, your dealer has failed to fix a fault on a new bike. I don't know what laws you have in India but here in the UK we would have the right to reject the "goods" as they're not of merchandisable quality.

My 2023 T120 Bonne has a number of interlocks that must be considered before starting. Clutch lever must be pulled in, kickstand must be up, start switch needs a second to allow the fuel pump to spin up. Don’t know how many interlocks there are on a Triple gut worth checking to see if one is bad.
