    Hi All,
I'm a newbie to the group as I purchased a Tiger 900 (1998) quite recently.
Anyway, splashed out on some new kit from Motolegends and bought myself a Helite Airbag jacket. It's very well constructed and also comes with a thermal (removeable) liner. Initially I was stepping off the bike forgetting to disconnect the jacket but I have not set the airbag off as it needs 35kgs of effort to actually remove the pin to set off the mechanism. It's been waterproof in downpours and has kept me nice and warm. Lots and lots of pockets with waterproof zips too.
It's not cheap at £650, but Motolegends do 12 months interest free credit.
Ultimately I feel safer wearing this. The bag inflates around the neck, spine, kidneys and chest in 0.1of a second and there is also a level 2 back protector over the top of the airbag.
The jacket is a little heavier than normal jackets but you don't notice once you are riding.
In summary I would recommend if you can afford one.
