Hi, anyone know if and where I can get a heel n toe gear lever for my 900 thunderbird 1996.. ? Thanks, punchy..
When I first started with this motorcycling malarkey I had a couple of bikes with heel and toe gear levers - a Suzuki Sportsman 50cc and a Honda C95 154cc, back in the 1960s, which were both so adorned. Small Jap commuter bikes of that era were often fitted with them. Other than that just tap something like 'motorcycle heel and toe gear levers' into google and see what pops up. There'll always be something!
Hi, I got a universal heel n toe gear lever and it didn’t sit at the correct angle and caught on the foot rest ?
In my experience, most - but not all - universal fitting items do need a bit of modification/ingenuity to make them fit properly. Having said that, my bike has worn three different 'universal' screens in its 24 years and all have fitted easily. Still got two of 'em although the bike is currently back in its original naked form.
Don't think you are going to find one for that bike. I don't know of any aftermaket shifters. Triumph made them for the later ones like the air cooled America/Speedmaster. This is mine. It is modified somewhat. The stop is removed from the footpeg and the shift rod has been lengthened so the rear peg sits a lot lower. 2002 America. ...J.D.
Been looking for one for my Speedmaster too Punchy so interested if you find one and will share if I do
The one above will fit the Speedmaster (air cooled). It is a factory accessory. There was one for the early (carburetted) version and a different part number for the EFI models. Do a word search for Triumph heel/toe on the internet and you should come up with one for your "Speedy". ...J.D.
