H7 is a fitment style, it's all to do with the socket the bulb fits into. Nothing electrical, it's a physical thing.

IIRC H4 has both main and dipped beam filaments in the same buld, H1 is a single filament buld for main beam and H7 is the equivalent for the dipped beam.

This x3, am I being stupid? The manual says "12v 55w h7 x 3 " when I put that in to ebay I get results with x3 in it.
If its quantity 3 then how do I (even with a double headlight ) need three. The centre bulb is main beam.

    Wild guess coming up....

All three bulbs are H7 but the two used for normal headlights are shrouded in some way? Where as the one used for main beam isn't?

Pop the bulbs out before ordering them Sprinter. If they all look like H7's. There's your answer.
You might find the main beam bulb is a H1? It will look very similar to the H7's so check the info on the chrome part of all 3 bulbs.

H7 is simply a designation for fitting and envelope type. No specials for main beam. Your reflectors see to that. So if you have a Sprint there are 3 x H7 bulbs in the front. :)
