In the USA it's Thanksgiving, so the local radio station played Alice's Restaurant, a funny song written by a triumph rider in 1967, politics were even crazy then.

He also wrote the motorcycle song.

    Guess he forgot his meds

    Jeez
I'm an ex musician from the sixties and seventies.
Surprised to find I can still remember all the words to this one.
    Always made me smile.
From the ' Group W Bench'.

In the USA at a party or event 30 years ago somebody would pull out a guitar and play this song, everybody would stop what they were doing and sing along (extremely unusual as Americans rarely sing in public)

Remember Alice's Restaurant well along with Cheech & Chong and Fred Wedlock.

Had the great privilege of seeing Arlo perform this at the Rhythm Festival in 2006. Unforgettable!
