Phew thanks. Now I can enjoy the rest of my holiday it’s still only 7am here. I’m in Costa Rica (Central America) and it’s very hot here. It’s been mid 30’s centigrade since we got here. I’m hoping to rent a quad bike next week and today’s weird event later this morning, is to ride a horse through the rain forest for a couple of hours. I always said I’d never get on a horse. (See what a few beers can do to a normally sensible person).
It’s a beautiful country, safe and with fantastic friendly locals

Enjoy your holiday, but be careful of them horses, they are far more difficult than motorbikes....

Never, ever, ever ride a horse. It's the most scariest thing I've ever done.
    Not to be repeated.

No brakes, dodgy steering, rubbish suspension and a mind of its own, why would you try it? I did once between race days on the I.O.M, gentle walk out along the roadside in lovely weather (obviously a non race day!) back to the farm the guide said lets canter back to the stables, I think she was getting her own back on all motorcyclists who had ever scared a horse 'cause I was terrified. Never again.

The horse had a very good temperament, but just don't know what people see in riding them. I never really felt in control for the whole time I was on it.
To be honest I felt sorry for the poor thing having me on its back
