Picked up the new Tiger from Fowlers of Bristol today. Excellent service and serves Destination Triumph right for being lame! :D

    Very nice.

I know it's a little soon, but how do you think the tires are going to be for your purpose? I know some people, especially here in the south west states, put on at least semi-nobbies. But I guess it all depends on riding style.

I think they'll be fine as most of my riding is definitely on road. Metzeler are not my favourite tyres, a bit on the hard side and some people don't like them in the wet but we'll see!

Is there anything about the 800 that you miss Steve?

I don't think so mate, because the 900 seems to improve on all aspects of the older bike but I would say that the 800 is an excellent all rounder.

Congratulations on the new bike, Steve, and for finally bringing that baby home with you. I hope the two of you put in many happy miles together. :) Nothing like a new bike to make ya feel like a little kid again! :grinning:

    Very nice Steve
The top box suits you sir ;)

@crispey was telling me the other evening that he’s prepared to run it in for you when you meet up next week for lunch.
Something along the lines of you’ll swap bikes with him for a couple of weeks so he’ll run it for you

It had to be done Jez, although can't say it improves the look of the bike and I've managed to find the biggest one I could. Not sure if it holds two full face helmets or a dozen 20" pizzas! :joy::joy:

Thanks Sandi, I'm sure we will. Only problem I can see is the 600 mile service. I've booked it in but the earliest date they could manage is the 16 September and I've already done 100 miles!

No problem, but I will have too many miles on it by then so might have to give lunch a miss! :joy::joy:
