I'm looking at converting my 2013 T100 to Western style bars, seeing as I ride around with a windscreen now. I tried once before to get the end caps off, couldn't budge then. I've seen this mentioned before and I'm minded to just leave them in the old bars. Is it possible to get the throttle off with the end cap in place? Are there any vibration issues? I have noticed a small, but irritating tingle in the throttle from time to time with the original set-up
No it's not possible to get the throttle over the end caps, if they are the same as on the earlier T100's, aren't they held on with hex socket head bolts? There is normally thread lock on them, try some gentle heat.from a hair dryer and possibly an impact driver to break the thread lock
