As I am going through the newly acquired bike as we do not have up to date service records so have no idea when most things were done, checked and renewed in most cases. We know when the Oil, Oil filter, Air Filter, were changed as the seller did these for me he also fitted new Triumph front brake pads and of course the new Bridgestone tyres. This morning I flushed the clutch fluid through would have done the front brake but one screw does not want to move so need to get a new cross head bit for my impact driver.

The chain and rear sprocket look to be in fine condition have not inspected the front one as yet the rear brake was dragging a bit but that has freed up with a little use so leftto do is :-

    Change coolant
Check spark plugs and maybe fit new ones.
    Change brake fluid.
Sort flashers out flashing too fast due to car relay being fitted.
Get new front left indicator and fit.
Get clock working, It was working until I disconnected and removed the battery?

So last little thing done was to break out the grease gun and grease the swing arm pivot then the shock linkage that's when I noticed just how filthy it was under there in fact it was so mucky I missed a nipple completely  so up early this morning and out with the degreaser and paint brush and attack the filth and although I have got a lot of it it's going to take another couple of goes to get it clean I doubt the previous owner ever cleaned under there plus there was a coating of tar from that incident on the way home when had to ride over a stretch of freshly sprayed roadway and that tar got everywhere it seems.

Also have been looking at lowering "Dog Bones" as I find it a little bit of a struggle to get my leg over the saddle!! this ole bod is not as flexiable as it was!!!! Plus I am not that tall so every little bit will help.

And oh yes yesterday I reduced it's weight by 14ozs by simply removing the tail piece of the rear mudguard it simply bolts on wih three bolts. I think it was an extra bit required by the Swiss regs unless they changed things I seem to recall that the rear mudguard must cover the rear tyre down to the center line of the wheel and with this bit of extra weight gone the bike look more normal  after hosing off the degreaser it was time to check the rear shocks damping adjuster and wonderful it is not seized so screwed in in to the stop then out to the stop and it appears that we have 10 clicks of adjustement the handbook says factory setting is 6 clicks so that is what it's set out now and we will see how it goes.
