Hi all. Greeting from Shropshire. Have had my 2004 Sprint RS for about a month now. Have always wanted a Triumph, but always found they hold their value a little too well so end up buying Jap stuff. I was tempted to refrain from giving a full bike history, but thought it'd be fun to job my memory a little, so hear it goes: Honda Vision, Honda MT50, Yamaha TZR125, Yamaha FZR250, Honda CG125, Kawasaki GPX750, Honda RVF400, Kawasaki ZX7R, Kawasaki KLR650, Royal Enfield Bullet 350 (out in India for 12 months), Honda CB500, Aprillia Tuono Gen1, ----Triumph Sprint RS!!!! To be fair, I'm pretty sure this is the best road bike I've ever owned! There are certain tradeoff's you make, as with every bike which is why it can be so difficult choosing one. I nearly thought about getting a VFR800 and so glad I didn't! I ride all year round and don't even own a car any more, just hire one on the rare occasions that I need one. The Sprint seems to do everything surprisingly well. Bucket loads of torque and will pull 2up from 2000rpm without complaint, the 955 triple is a real gem. Cruises very well at any speed you like and doesn't mind holding a steady speed too much, unlike many bikes that keep asking for you to pin it to the horizon in every gear, -much to the delight of the county constabulary when you fly past in triple figures! The bike is heavy and stable, but holds its weight very well. Also apart from it being a Triumph and people liking it because it's British, it doesn't gather too much attention and is a bit of a sleeper. Always a thumbs up from me as I prefer to enjoy riding with minimum fuss and don't want to be 'noticed' every hour of the day All in all, more than happy with my bike, and will hopefully be staying around here for many years to come! :upyeah:
