Howdy all. Had a great test ride on a speed triple r, however it was just after an mt10.... I liked the R more, however it felt a little lacking in grunt after the mt10. Would a full system liberate the 10bhp I think it needs?
Not sure pal, the speed engine is well known for its linear torque curve so could just be that. Not ridden a rice burner for twenty years. Atb Bob
Hi Frank the mt10 has 20bhp more than the speed triple so it will have a bit more grunt than the speed triple,if your coming from sports bikes and want the same the mt10 (R1 ENGINE) is probably the one for you, it looks as if it might have a bit more wind protection too,but i think the speed triples engine has a lot more character, and for a naked bike it's fast enough for me.you will probably get an extra 5bhp with a full system on
Not from sports bikes, moto morini corsaro veloce. I guess I've just got use to a certain amount of midrange grunt..... I really enjoyed the ride on the speed triple though...
moto morini thats a big v-twin loads of grunt there i would imagine, the mt10 is a great bike and has looks that are certainly differant, but the more you ride the speed triple the more you will find the engine addictive, i love mine
