evening all, got the bike ( 2010 in Matt green ), got the end cans ( high level arrows ) got the new map for the cans, but today out for a short spin and the thing goes all ape on me again.
Started popping and farting even had a more noticeable note from the cans ( I do av the baffles in )
Should I be worried ? Or do I start looking at ECU prices

    Cheer

I'm not quite clear if you have already installed the cans and an appropriate map or not? You just say you've got these things ????

Can we establish a baseline for diagnosis?

    Sorry mate
Yes the cans are on, the map was loaded two weeks ago
Ran the bike without the re-map, and had the first incident.
It's just been serviced with a new front tyre, so thought I'd take it out before my road trip pending, just to make sure all is ok.
Noticed the popping had started ( had greatly reduced after the re-map ) so headed home to seek guidance

    OK mate understand now.

The first place I would be looking is around all the exhaust connections for leaks. Air getting in the exhaust flow will make it pop.

The popping is ok, it's just I'm worried about how it keeps changing in intensity

I have a thruxton with the AI's still in and mine pops on deceleration, not all the time, more when cold but randomly when hot, I'm sure it's not a problem, but please let us know if it is

Hi Crispey, my T100 used to pop on over-run until I removed the AI system - then it was completely gone and the throttle action was smoother especially at slow speeds. More noticeable once I fitted the 'open drain' pipes.

Yeah, I'm still in 2 minds as at the moment i quite like the popping, and with my O2s removed the low Rev smoothness is fine. One day I'll try without the AIs

a triple 1050 engine is very different from a parallel twin a s3 with a arrow system will pop and fart .the intensity changes according to the revs/speed you are at when rolling off throttle if you want to get rid of it completely you will need a custom map or go back the stock. f you are still concerned i suggest you go to a qualified triumph mechanic.

Thanks for all the replies chaps
It was running smooth as a baby's after the re-map, I'm going with the " it's just what it does philosophy " and see how she goes.
Got a nice long run in Wales coming up, so I'll up-date if any more problems
