Will update after another 1000 miles. Has anyone here tried them? Any issues? Always interested in other folks opinions.

I bought a pair a couple of years ago when I had a Tiger 1050 and was shallow enough to think I needed some real adventure boots

I hated them. I wore them once for about 4 hours and took them back the next day. The shop was generous enough to let me swap them for a pair of TCX touring boots which have turned out to be excellent. They were so stiff I could barely move my feet and I struggled to brake and change gear with any subtlety. The plastic buckles looked and felt less than secure and I wasn't too confident they'd survive constant use.

They looked nicely macho though and felt like a truck could hit them without causing any damage but very definitely not for me I'm afraid.

Wow! I wonder if they have changed the construction. We found them to be one of the most supple and comfortable boots we have ever tested - and that was the opinion of our very fussy lady tester!

Maybe they have changed them but I'd still be worried about the plastic buckles (unless they've been changed as well!)

Ah, well, we deal with those buckles in the review.... We had our doubts too, but so far they seem to be holding up well. I remember thinking the same about the Infinity buckles and straps - look flimsy but my last set lasted 4 years. Generally I have to say that we find TCX to be very good at fixings, but we'll let you know if we have a problem with these.

    Thanks for your input.
