Always did this on previous forum I have attended, nice to know all are safe home with no drama's. (if there are drama's - please share - we like to laugh at others misfortune !!!!!) Set off back of 8' and made it home for 11:45. 210 miles in 3 1/4 hours run time !!!! save you doing the sums that's an average of 65 mph on a cruiser !!!!! No drama's, just bored shitless on the M6. Nice to meet up with you guys, biggest disappointment was the fact Wayne is not Irish Food was bloody excellent, beer was drinkable, honey Bourbon is on the shopping list. Must remember to share a room with normal people next time - up before 6:00 and they hadn't even shit the bed !!! Hope the guys had a good run today, maybe Scottish Gathering next year could be a multi-day event???
230 miles and 5.5 hrs later (that's an average of 40 mph) Only hit about 15 miles of dual carriageway. took a scenic route to Ashbourne and managed to not end up in a farmyard! 2 stops 1 coffee 1 pee! Great roads down and managed Basingstoke to Alton on a nearly clear road! Managed to stop in at the departure lounge Loved every minute of my 18 hours with you lot, thanks for making the effort and making my journey worthwhile. Can someone email me a groupshot photo full file size? Pm me and I'll send you my addy
After spending a great day with the team today I left the Winking Man pub after eats at 19.55, arrived home and wifey opened the garage for me at 20.55. The journey of approx 40 miles was in heavy rain except for the last 5 miles, no B or minor roads, just stuck to the good old A roads. Home now safe and sound. Dave.
Back now as well. It was horrible weather when I left but got better the further South. Just banged home in the sat nav,bit boring but that serves me right for not planning a route home
Back home safe. A nice bimble back down the B roads. Like roadrider the weather got better further south.
A few short stints at 90 but 100 miles on the M6 at continuous 80 does raise the average nicely. And A bottle will be purchased soon Your well come to spread the tale of my psycho cat
Already posted on the grand meet up thread that I'm home!,,couldn't find this thread earlier I Suggested to Wayne what i think would be a cracking venue to hold the 2nd grand meet up.....Lou agrees too, so that's 3 votes so far!......................................
Got home about 8:15am. Weather got better, quite nice now with broken cloud and some sunshine. About the most exciting thing on the ride home was watching the yellow "low fuel" light come on when I went downhill and going off again on the flat. Did the whole trip, ride there, ride back, Wednesday's ride out on one tank of fuel. Hope you're all ok.
Hi everyone got home @ 1300 hrs weather was awful, many thanks to everyone for a great time with great bunch of people can't wait till next year Regards to all Lou
Flooky---arrived home in one piece----great to meet you all ---( just wish there had been a few more Speedies that could have kept up on the run.)
Just found this thread - I was the last to leave this morning and arrived in Bradford at 12.50. Fancied a cuppa at Squires Cafe but "Satan's Slaves" had taken it over for a weekend event and it was closed to "normal" bikers. Set the satnav to avoid motorways and it did - just didn't enjoy the trip through the centre of Sheffield or even worse Leeds! Great few days with a great bunch of guys. Looking forward to next year!
Should I tell everyone where I suggested ? Here's a clue.sounds like something you want to do to the terminator (in the first film anyway)
