hi, have an 06 speed triple and the fuel cell needs some cosmetic work. Plan to touch up scratches and re-clear the tank.
The side of the tank was scraped when the previous owner dropped it and the road basically sanded in down in one spot. It did not comprise the structure so I am looking to do some body work to reshape the damage. Anyone familiar with what will bond to that type of plastic? I believe it is a nylon?
Not sure if regular body filler will bond properly.

Forgot what actual grade acrylic tank it is but even if you don’t know then key it well with 120-180 grade and lightly coat it with plastic primer THEN FILL THE REPAIR not before.

Thanks, coming along well. Filled and primed. Time for one more sanding some color then clear the whole tank.
