    Have a bit of a problem .
Am fitting Daytona 955 front end etc to my Trophy 1200.
Now is bolted in, from front of bike the wheel is about 2-3mm off to the rightside of forks.
Not got calipers at moment as waiting to buy them so can see if they clear discs or scrape
Also add that its a Speed Triple 955 front wheel I`m using
Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem.
Can`t get pic at moment as camera is playing up but will upload asap.
    Cheers

It sounds like you will have to adjust/make new spacers to centralise the wheel.
Take some accurate measurements, sketch it out and make the adjustments, you could do with access to a small lathe or a local friendly engineering workshop.

When you say Front End do you mean yokes and forks or just forks?

Complete front end , yokes, forks, wheel, discs, mudguard.
I had a thought if there was a difference in the size of the wheel spacer ?

some times you just need to slacken off pinch bolts and axle to bring it back

here are some pics of alignment also condition of forks.
I did buy these cheap off e-bay and as shown is some scrape marks to sides. Bought them with a view to getting better set when can afford them. Then break these ones for p IMGP4704.JPG IMGP4703.JPG IMGP4694.JPG IMGP4693.JPG arts to sell IMGP4704.JPG IMGP4703.JPG IMGP4704.JPG IMGP4703.JPG IMGP4704.JPG IMGP4703.JPG IMGP4694.JPG IMGP4693.JPG IMGP4704.JPG IMGP4703.JPG IMGP4694.JPG IMGP4693.JPG

Is it purely spacing ie. Needs shifting left or right

or are the forks pinching together at the axle meaning only one side needs spacing

Is there much space to get the wheel and spacers inbetween the forks as it should be quite a snug fit with the correct overall width

How has that affected head angle/trail?
thought they are a bit on the short side.

When you have the calipers you will be able to determine how much you will have to move the wheel, this can be done by shaving one spacer down and making a new bigger one, the marks on the forks are the mudguard mountings :)

Is it the same if you turn the station. Just incase it has a slight bend in it.

I think it is like darkman says once have calipers will be a bit wiser. Might just need, as t552says, the fork swiveling to get it to fit. If this happens then would indicate that fork is probably a bit bent. Just have to wait and see. Cheers for advice etc

Has lowered front of bike a bit, which in turn steepens head angle and with the fork centres closer to stem will reduce trail so should make the old girl steer a bit quicker. Can`t see any problems with that but once get on road will be able to see and let people know
