Hi All, I was considering getting some 'frame sliders' for my 2002 955i.

Where should they 'go'? On the engine block somewhere? Forks? Bar ends...?

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks all!

R&G make some nice ones. Mine are mounted to the bolt where engine and frame connect.

Same, mine are fitted by removing the engine bolts and replacing with the slider bolts, easy job.

Thanks both. Do you have just these engine ones?

Is it worth getting any others?

Obviously my plan is to not ever have to need them(!)...but if I'm fitting some on the block...might I as well fit others elsewhere - forks, bar ends etc?

The spindle ones don't seem necessary...but perhaps the fork ones do? etc...

I do have spindle bobbins on mine front and rear but the rears I use for my paddock stand too.

Hi Phil I'm looking at fitting these myself but have a bit of an issue with the torque setting of the new bolt connecting the sliders to the existing engine to frame bracket. R&G states 40Nm max. but the Triumph spec is 105Nm. R&G says 40Nm is OK bit Triumph says not to deviate from original specs. Did you come across this issue yourself? Thanks.
