I've decided to sell my Thruxton TFC #083/750 currently <4500 miles , fresh Metzeler M9 Sportec RR tires , Arrow Race headers , dyno tuned at the dealer. Apex adjustable clip-ons ( 3" rise) , Rizoma bar end mirrors, Powerbronze flip windscreen, Tamarit custom belly pan. All Stock parts included as well as the documentation , service records, and extra's ( leather backpack , covers) . $19,500 firm
Gorgeous bike, Greywolf. I'm kinda sad to know you're selling it. But f I had more money in the bank and more room in the garage I'd definitely consider taking it off your hands. I really like everything you've done to it. Good luck finding a good home for it!
Thanks, it's been an awesome bike and it was a hard decision to make. The stock headers with Cat are also included.
Life changed , staying in Georgia and HOORAH ! There is a new Triumph dealer within 15 miles! Triumph Roswell looks nice , even has a Cafe next door inside the same building
I decided to keep it . Now that there is a dealer that's a short hop away , and I'm here I don't have to give her up. Thinking about finding a TFC bobber to replace my Ducati 950 S ...I'm pushing 67 and it's time to slow down a little.
Ducati to Bobber sounds like a great move, Greywolf. I love sportbikes, and a piece of my heart will always be with race reps. But I’m 61 now and the head down riding position just doesn’t work anymore. Your Thruxton is set up perfectly. What a sweet bike!
Hurray! I'm glad to read that you've decided to keep that beautiful Thruxton, @Greywolf55. See, sometimes things work out just as they should. Hope to see some photos of it again now that it's not up for sale and you'll be out and about on it (weather permitting).
Nice shot of the grand kids. Easiest way to get them hooked at a young age I love the leather seat on the TFC. I keep meaning to call my local triumph dealer to see if they can be purchased as it will no doubt fit my R.
It truly saddens me when I see other riders say things like “I'm pushing 67 and it's time to slow down a little.” or “I’m 61 now and the head down riding position just doesn’t work anymore.” I understand that as we get older our bodies struggle to perform as they did in our younger years but just wonder if that is a result of us not adhering to our service intervals. Or is it just that we accept a reduced level of performance because that’s what people our age do? Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
Growing up ..Never .. but with 52 years of riding and 31 broken bones , torn up knees, wrists, shoulders , back and 12 concussions I'm just glad to be riding!
