    Hi gents.

I know fitting a Sat Nav or phone will ruin the fabulous looks on a Thruxton, however has anyone found a good way of mounting a Sat Nav or mobile for occasional use?

    I have a TomTom Rider 450 and a Samsung S8.

I did knock up a handmade mount for the mobile which was sort of ok, but that had to be removed when I had heated grips fitted.

    Thanks peeps.

I have an ultimate add on for my thruxton, the phone holder in clips so just leaves the mount there which isn’t that obtrusive. Of course you could put it in your pocket and just have audio instructions but that’s a bit of a bugger if there’s lag

Thanks Crispey for the quick response. The case looks good, but how does it connect to the bike? Do you have any photos you could kindly share?

Ok mines quite old and I think they now give you a couple of fitting options. But this is mine

I use this to get power to my phone as I have the optimate plug for trickle charger.

Thanks Crispey. That looks a great setup, and great tip on the bluetooth adaptor. Serves me right though for having the fancy Thruxton R which has a different (but lovely looking) polished yoke handlebar where the mount you have wouldn't fit :-(

Thanks Crispey. You are being very helpful. I have read that post before and thought that setup would work for me too, however the sticky point is you can't get the Ultimate Addons adaptor in the 5mm size which is needed for the Thruxton R clip ons. They only have sizes 6, 8 or 10mm, so I'm a bit stuck. I can't find a 1" Ram ball anywhere on the internet that is 5mm. All the Ram balls seem to start at 6mm or bigger :-( Crikey, never easy is it?

Has anyone with a Thrxuton R on this site found a way round this and knows where you can purchase the hardware in the UK?
