Meanwhile, I own my Honda NT-1100 for 2 weeks. But since I was in the first 4 days 1,500 km with it across Austria on the road, she had to hold out a week in the garage, because I should have, according to dealer specification, under 2,000 km to the 1,000 km service appointment. This Monday I had the appointment and I came with 1,750 km to the service.o_O After a good hour check, an oil change and a test drive, which ended with an enthusiastic mechanic, I payed just over € 190.- for it. I find this price basically okay. Immediately after the service I drove another time across half of Austria due to business duties.
    Impressions and experiences so far:
The performance difference of -30 PS/Hp is approximately made up by the snappy 2-cylinder and the lower weight of almost 50 kg in comparison to my former TIGER 1200. The fuel consumption shows enormous differences! On the highway at continuous speed of 136 km/h with cruise control, the Honda consumes a maximum of 4.9 l/100km. On country roads, with high mountain parts in the speed range of 70-100km /h, the consumption is reduced to 4.1l/100 km. Another bonus is the lower insurance costs of - €60/month compared to the TIGER 1200. I therefore do not regret my bike change for a second!

@Dougie D: That's an interesting thing. With 105 Nm, the HONDA has 17 Nm less than the TIGER 1200 with 122 Nm, but I have the impression that it "converts" it faster. That is, due to the lighter weight and faster response of the 2-cylinder engine compared to the 3-cylinder engine, this difference is not really noticeable. There is also a difference in the Rpm level, as the HONDA has the same speeds as the TIGER at lower Rpms. On average it is at least - 500 Rpm at the same constant speed. I did not expect that!

Yeah you will find the twin will feel like it has more grunt than the Tiger and probably more engine breaking too which I personally prefer

You are right! I like this engine breaking. I am used to it due to my BONNIE T120 and missed it always with the TIGER. Now I have got it in nearly the same way!

Twins always have more engine braking than triples, who in turn have more engine braking than fours. My Rally Pro 900 has less engine braking than my Super Tenere had. This almost caught me out a couple of times at first but I’m used to it now.
Is your Honda the DCT model? If so how do you like it?

@Glenn2926: No. I bought the 6 gear bike with an additional quickshifter.
