I'm a longtime (and continuing) Harley-Davidson rider who always wanted a Triumph. I thought my second bike would be a Bonneville, but I became interested in ADV motorcycles after signing up for a motorcycle tour in Israel. I was excited that H-D was getting into the adventure bike foray when they announced the Pan America, but who knows when it's gonna come out? My window of opportunity led me to the Tiger 1200 XCa. Bought a 2019 and can't wait to put some serious miles on it, both on- and off-road. I look forward to becoming an active part of the Triumph motorcycle community.
Thanks, everyone. Here’s a photo of the new bike. I’m planning to replace the stock rubber with a set of Dunlop Trailmax Mission Adventure tyres. From all the research I’ve seen, they are an excellent 50-50 riding solution. Plus Dunlop has never failed me in 200,000 miles on any of the H-D models I’ve owned.
Hi Dean I've just noticed you have "50003" in your profile. Is that your zip code where you keep your bike? If it is I would delete it, it will lead people to your door and your nice new bike. If it is not, please ignore this....
Oh, so there are trolls here, too. Hey, J.D. — how about appreciating the fact that I jumped to another brand and am trying to become immersed in the Triumph brand? Funny, I don’t see snide comments on the tons of posts I see about BMW, KTM and other non-Triumph brands in this group. SMH.
Well, that’s your issue. I didn’t join the forum to hear negative comments. and As a marketing professional I appreciate brand loyalty and competitive sentiments, but I don’t have any time for people who discriminate against those who enjoy other brands. I didn’t as a 20-year brand loyalist to H-D, and I won’t as an enthusiastic Triumph owner. It’s just not necessary.
I don’t mind negative comments. Free speech and all of that jazz. Just don’t attack people for what they like or what they own. Sounds like you are the one on a soap box.
